‘The Bachelor’: Nick Viall on His ‘Journey’ From ‘Bad Boy’ to Bachelor
Many people were surprised when Nick Viall was chosen to star in The Bachelor — especially since all signs pointed to handsome, high-haired cowboy Luke Pell getting the gig. Now as the Bachelor, Viall has to convince viewers — and the “ladies” vying to become his wife — that he really is a good guy. “I’m actually, in [real] life, known as a pretty nice guy,” Viall tells Yahoo TV, adding that his poor mom was “all flustered” to see that a tabloid magazine referred to him as a “bad boy” during a Bachelorette season.

For Viall, the idea of being labeled a bad boy is “kind of cool,” though he admits, “I’m probably, unfortunately, more edgy on TV than I am in real life.”
The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
