Sneak Peek: 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Lends FitzSimmons to 'Ultimate Spider-Man'
FitzSimmons fans have a new place to catch their favorite science duo — they’ll be in this Sunday’s episode of Ultimate Spider-Man vs. the Sinister 6 helping Spidey deal with Curt Connor’s formula gone awry in “Lizards.” Elizabeth Henstridge and Iain De Caestecker voice their characters from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Jemma Simmons and Leo Fitz.
Director Coulson has already appeared in animated form — most notably as Peter Parker’s principal in Ultimate Spider-Man — but since he existed prior to Agents, we’re going to say that this marks the first appearance of the ABC show’s characters in cartoon form.

The video gives us a look at the two actors in the voice booth — Henstridge is much freer with her hand gesticulations than De Caestecker is — and we also learn tidbits like the fact that De Caestecker dressed up as Spider-Man as a child. And if that isn’t enough to greenlight a Li'l Fitz and Simmons Show, with the scientists as adorable kids, then what is?
Ultimate Spider-Man airs Sundays at 9 a.m. on Disney XD.
