Tyson Beckford is not only an actor and the first black male supermodel, but he’s also quite an active Instagram user. And as a single man who undoubtedly gets asked out on a ton of dates because, I mean, look at him, he has to figure out modern ways to filter through potential suitors.

Occasionally, Tyson Beckford has gotten a direct message on Instagram, and yes, occasionally, he’s gone on dates with the person reaching out. “Some people hit me in the DM and sometimes you go out,” Beckford told the women on The View. Other times, Beckford has seen women on Instagram, met them in person, and then decided they should go out. “If it’s someone you know… on Instagram, I’ve met them in person and say, ‘Wow you’re really nice and also really attractive, let’s hang out.'”

So the lesson here is hit up Beckford with a DM, or happen to meet him in person, and then be really nice and attractive, and you too can get a date with him! It’s as simple as that.
