Larry David Gauged J.B. Smoove’s Interest in Returning to ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’
One of best comedies in HBO’s lineup could be making a comeback sooner than we think. Comedian J.B. Smoove was on the Rich Eisen Show, where he hinted that Larry David may be interested in bringing back Curb Your Enthusiasm.
“You know I just talk about regular stuff with him,” Smoove said. “You know it’s not always Curb stuff. But this time, ah-ha. This time, he brings up Curb Your Enthusiasm. I don’t ever bring it up.”
Curb Your Enthusiasm ran for eight seasons and concluded in 2011. Since then, David has been keeping busy, most recently with a string of appearances on Saturday Night Live impersonating Bernie Sanders.
According to Smoove, David said: “You know, I’m thinking about coming back,” which Smoove insisted was a great indication because David has never said “no” to bringing the show back.
With the return of Arrested Development, the X-Files and Gilmore Girls, it’s not unusual for shows to come back to life. But no matter how remote the possibility, Smoove will be ready.
“I’ll move anything I’m doing to the side for Curb Your Enthusiasm,” Smoove said. “Which would be a fabulous thing to do. Season 9 would be fabulous.”
