Kelly Osbourne’s ‘Late Show’ Interview Interrupted by Text From Ozzy
Kelly Osbourne stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to promote her new book, but she didn’t get to talk about it much. As Colbert pointed out her head tattoos, her phone started making noise. She scrambled to retrieve it from her pocket and said, “Please don’t tell me that’s my dad texting me right now, sorry.”
Colbert couldn’t believe what was happening, saying, “Is that literally a text on the show?”
The text was, in fact, from her dad, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne. And like a teacher catching a kid passing notes in class, Colbert made Kelly read her text aloud to everyone. Kelly warned, “Well, there are some swear words in it.”
The text started with “High,” as Kelly explained, “spelled h-i-g-h.” It continued, “I just watched you on the tele. I thought you looked and sounded f***ing Awesome. I love you so much, and I am so proud of you. Dada.”
Kelly attempted to Facetime her “dada” and explained why she calls him that: “It’s weird when adult women call their father daddy. Do you not think that?” Colbert jokingly replied, “I’ve never been one. I don’t know.”
The Late Show With Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on CBS.
