‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Map: A Catch-Up Guide to Where Everyone Is
Season 7 of Game of Thrones will see worlds collide, as Daenerys Targaryen arrives in Westeros to stake a claim to the Iron Throne. She’ll have to wrest it from Cersei Lannister’s cold, scheming fingers, though. And then there are the Starks, who have finally returned to and regained their family seat in Winterfell. Of course, the greatest threat of all is waiting on the other side of the Wall — the Night King and his army of White Walkers.

Westeros is going to be one big reunion in Season 7 of Game of Thrones.
The first six seasons of HBO’s fantasy drama scattered all of the characters to the wind. But now, with Daenerys Targaryen finally setting sail for Westeros to claim the Iron Throne, Arya returned from Braavos, and two of the Stark kids together in Winterfell, this season is all about bringing people together.
Here’s a map pinpointing where everyone is at the start of Season 7:

Winterfell
Jon Snow: After defeating Ramsay Bolton and his army, Jon has been proclaimed “King of the North” by Northern lords.
Sansa Stark: The eldest surviving legitimate child of Ned and Catelyn Stark is technically the heir to Winterfell (until Bran shows up). Thanks to Littlefinger’s manipulation, she seems to be perturbed by her half-brother taking the spotlight.
Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish: The master schemer is sowing the seeds of dissension in Sansa and painting mental pictures of himself on the Iron Throne, with her beside him.
Davos Seaworth: Jon’s new right-hand man discovered Melisandre had Shireen Baratheon burned at the stake and requested the Red Priestess be banished from Winterfell.
Tormund: The Wilding leader also declared for Jon as King of the North and is still crushing on Brienne.
Lyanna Mormont: The Lady of Bear Island gave a stirring speech shaming the other Northern lords into declaring their support for Jon.
Just south of Winterfell
Melisandre: The Red Priestess is riding away from Winterfell after getting banished for burning Shireen Baratheon.
Brienne of Tarth: She journeyed to Riverrun to ask the Blackfish to help Sansa in recapturing Winterfell. He refused and the Lannister army took Riverrun, so Brienne fled.
Podrick Payne: Last seen rowing Brienne away from Riverrun.
King’s Landing
Cersei Lannister: After the wildfire bombing of the Sept of Baelor and the suicide of son Tommen, Cersei was crowned queen.
Jaime Lannister: He arrived back in King’s Landing just in time to see his sister crowned. He had previously led the successful takeover of Riverrun.
Qyburn: He crowned Cersei, since he is now presumably the Grandmaester after the murder of Pycelle at the same time as the bombing.
Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane: Last seen raping (off-screen) Septa Unella.
Bronn: He rode back to King’s Landing with Jaime after their celebration for taking Riverrun.
On ships approaching Dragonstone
Daenerys Targaryen: She struck a deal with Yara Greyjoy to use her fleet of ships to carry her army of Dothraki and Unsullied fighters to Westeros.
Tyrion Lannister: He was named Hand of the Queen by Daenerys.
Greyworm: He will lead the Unsullied in Daenerys’s bid for the Iron Throne.
Missandei: She will continue to be Daenerys’s right-hand woman.
Varys: He plotted to bring together Daenerys with supporters in Dorne and Highgarden.
Theon Greyjoy: He is supporting his sister’s claim to rule over the Iron Islands and fight against their uncle, Euron.
Yara Greyjoy: She made a deal with Daenerys: ships for support for her claim as Queen of the Iron Islands.
North of the Wall
The Night King: He is amassing a massive army of white walkers to march against humans in the south.
Bran Stark: After losing longtime companion Hodor, Bran was saved by his uncle, Benjen. He had visions that revealed Jon’s true identity. Now he’s being pulled south by Meera.
Meera Reed: She is taking Bran toward the Wall.
Castle Black
Eddison Tollett: He is now presumably the new Commander of the Night’s Watch.
The Citadel
Samwell Tarly: He arrived in Oldtown and immediately went to the Citadel, where he will study to become a maester. He entered the large and impressive library.
Gilly: She journeyed to the Citadel with Sam, after mistreatment by his father and brother at Horn Hill. She and baby Sam are not allowed to enter the library.
The Twins
Arya Stark: Using what she learned from the Faceless Men, she slit Walder Frey’s throat.
In the Riverlands heading north
Sandor “The Hound” Clegane: He sought vengeance for the death of Septon Ray, which led him to meet again with Beric and Thoros. They convinced him to join them in marching north to fight the dead.
Beric Dondarrion and Thoros of Myr: They persuaded the Hound to help the Brotherhood Without Banners fight the “cold winds” from the North.
Dorne
Ellaria, Nymeria, and Tyene Sand: The Sand Snakes have allied with Olenna Tyrell and Daenerys Targaryen against the Lannisters.
Highgarden
Olenna Tyrell: The Queen of Thorns struck a deal with Dorne and Daenerys as revenge against the Lannisters for the deaths of her son and grandchildren.
Iron Islands
Euron Greyjoy: After being crowned King of the Iron Islands, he ordered his people to chop down every tree they find to build a thousand ships. He means to track down his niece and nephew to kill them, and also wants to ally with Daenerys (though it’s too late).
Somewhere in Essos, heading west
Jorah Mormont: Daenery ordered her former advisor to find a cure for greyscale, then return to her side.
