Fresh off the release of his sixth studio album, Blue Lips, platinum-selling rapper ScHoolboy Q sat down with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN for an episode of “Drink Champs.” The South Los Angeles-bred talent pursued the path with his engineer, Derek Ali, in hopes that they would find a deal that afforded them a chance to create music at a high level. After reaching out on MySpace, Ali was able to set up a meeting with Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and Terrence “Punch” Henderson of Top Dawg Entertainment.
Last Friday (March 1), ScHoolboy Q unveiled his sixth studio LP, Blue Lips. The long-awaited project contained 18 songs and additional appearances from Rico Nasty, Lance Skiiiwalker, Freddie Gibbs, Ab-Soul, Childish Major, Jozzy, and Devin Malik, the last of whom is the newest member of Top Dawg Entertainment. According to Hits Daily Double, the album is expected to collect 30,000 to 35,000 first-week album-equivalent units.
Today (March 1), ScHoolboy Q unveiled his sixth studio LP, BLUE LIPS, an 18-song body of work with collaborations alongside Rico Nasty, Ab-Soul, Jozzy, Childish Major, Lance Skiiiwalker and more. After the release of BLUE LIPS, Q appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" to perform "oHio" sans the song's feature, Freddie Gibbs.
