Why the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Hype?
Call of Duty has reigned as one of gaming’s most dominant franchises for more than two decades. It’s an iconic military first-person shooter series, and Black Ops 6 promises more of what millions of players love: an action-packed, single-player campaign and fast-paced multiplayer battles.
Black Ops 6 features its own defining traits, though. The campaign takes place during the Gulf War in the 1990s. In addition, the popular Zombies mode returns and continues the ongoing storyline from Black Ops Cold War. Black Ops 6 will also deliver fresh battle royale content.
The multiplayer modes let you test your mettle across 16 new maps, including 12 core 6v6 maps and four Strike maps (the latter you can play in teams of 2v2 or 6v6). Additionally, players will see the return of a more traditional Prestige system, bigger and more rewarding than ever.
Where Can You Buy Call of Duty: Black Ops 6?
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches on Oct. 25 for , , PlayStation 4, , and Xbox One. The standard edition costs $69.99, while the Vault Edition (with additional cosmetics and battle pass perks) costs $99.99. Microsoft now owns Activision, so Black Ops 6 will also debut on the subscription service.
You can play Black Ops 6 before release day by participating in Early Access, which lasts from Aug. 30 to Sept. 4. An open beta follows days later, lasting from Sept. 6-9.
