Apple is famous for its tightly-knit ecosystem, which is easy to use if you exclusively have Apple devices but can be frustrating if you don’t. Now, Apple is making things a little easier for Android users. As of today, Apple TV+ will be available from Google Play for Android smartphones and tablets, joining the very small suite of Apple apps available on the Play Store.

Apple TV+ was already available as an app on various TV operating systems, including Google TV, Samsung, Fire TV, and Roku, as well as gaming consoles like the PlayStation. But Android users didn’t have the option to take Apple TV+ on the go, whether they wanted to watch Severance at their desks or stream MLS games while traveling. Apple TV+ is available for $9.99/mo, and MLS Season Pass is $14.99/mo.
The app has some convenient features for people who like to stream across multiple devices, including a “Continue Watching” section that lets you pick up where you left off if you were streaming on your TV. Plus, the new Apple TV+ app will allow users to download episodes for offline viewing from smartphones and tablets, or watch over a WiFi or cellular connection. Unfortunately, Google Cast won’t be available at launch.
Apple is also streamlining the Apple TV+ experience for its Google TV app, so users can now add a subscription directly from the app. Previously, users had to sign in on a computer or phone to add a subscription after downloading the app.
Apple is currently on the third season of its 10-year partnership with Major League Soccer, which returns on Feb. 22. That means fútbol games are available exclusively on MLS Season Pass, which can be found in the Apple TV app. MLS Season Pass is available as a standalone subscription, or at a discounted rate for Apple TV+ subscribers. MLS Season Pass includes every game in the season and postseason, with no regional blackouts.
