Serena Williams Announces Pregnancy in Her Favorite Color
Serena Williams shocked fans on Wednesday when she posted a shot on Snapchat indicating she is pregnant.
The tennis star’s selfie in a yellow bathing suit — with the caption, “20 weeks” — set social media ablaze, with many weighing in on the possibility.
While Williams has yet to confirm her pregnancy, the since deleted photo from her Snapchat is certainly fueling rumors across the Web. But announcing the big news in a bright yellow one-piece was certainly one way to do it, as Williams has actually been a fan of the bold color for quite a while, frequently wearing it for photo shoots and while vacationing.
She recently shared an image on Instagram in which she’s posing in a yellow bikini from her shoot with photographer Emmanuelle Hauguel in the Turks and Caicos Islands for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2017 issue.

She captioned the image, “Just because.” In 2016, Williams shared another photo in which she’s clad in a vibrant daffodil hue, that time while riding a horse on a tropical vacation she took after losing in the U.S. Open semifinals.

During her 2017 SI shoot, Williams shared that she is a fan of one-piece suit styles. “I love the modern one-piece,” she said during an exclusive SI video clip — referencing the on-trend one-piece suit with the very high cuts. During the video she also spoke about body positivity.
“I want people to come away with the fact that it’s OK to be comfortable in your body. I’m not a size two,” she said. “It’s OK to look strong and to be sexy and to be a woman and to be unbreakable — all of those things. I really want to have that influence for people out there that have my body type. I want them to be like, ‘I look good too.’ That’s what I hope for.”
Last year, she showed off her physique on Snapchat — wearing the same bright yellow in another style bikini.
The professional tennis player incorporates the tone into her everyday wardrobe as well.

She’s even worn the striking shade on the court, during the Australian Open in 2016, making it clear that Williams has a preference for the sunny side.
