Joan Rivers was the queen of the comedy but she also reigned supreme when it came to fashion. The 81-year-old funny woman who died today in New York City was known for her quick-witted jabs on the red carpet as well as her best-selling jewelry line for QVC. Sure, she skewered many of the glammed up starlets she interviewed, but she also poked fun at herself. “Yes. I am wearing underwear. It’s in my contract. I have to,” explained Rivers to an audience member at an event. Rivers was always dressed to the nines, wrapping herself up in fur, sequins and jewelry—even when she was out of the spotlight.
