The fanny pack is back, y’all — just ask Kendall Jenner
We don’t know if this is good news or bad news, you’ll have to make your own call. According to Kendall Jenner, the fanny pack is back and ready to party. The little black pouch was seen clinging to Jenner’s waist as she entered the Christian Dior office space in Paris on Sunday. Jenner wore high-waisted jeans and a cropped sweater to bring home the ’90s-inspired look, and guys — we don’t hate it.
Listen, we know we just said that we weren’t sure if the whole fanny pack thing is good or bad news. But check out this look! It’s a good look! We want this fanny pack, and that makes us confused!
Let’s try to break this down and figure out why we like it. First, it’s not your run-of-the-mill “Dad’s going to to Disneyland” fanny pack. It’s quilted leather Chanel.
Also, that little peek-a-boo fishnet detailing definitely ups the cool factor on this fanny pack lewk.
It’s shaped like a clutch purse and worn off to the side, rather than a zip-up sack worn right below the belly button, like an old-school fanny pack.
OK, so Kendall Jenner brought the fanny pack back, and we’re on board. Fine. We’ll admit it. But let’s start to call this new-and-improved fanny pack something else to soften the blow. Hip purse? Belt bag? You know what — we’ll workshop it and get back to you.
In the meantime, let the idea of wearing a waist clutch (?) sink in, and we think you’ll start to like it.
