2023 DB Avieon Terrell's journey has started with Georgia offer
Rivals.com
The buzz started about this young man years ago.
As his older brother AJ Terrell went through the recruiting process before signing with Clemson in 2017, Avieon Terrell watched, learned and was already creating his own buzz back then.
That buzz has gone to another level now. The 5-foot-8, 158 pound freshman was offered by Georgia less than a week ago and his own recruitment has gotten started.
After picking off three passes this season, Terrell now has offer No. 1.
IN HIW OWN WORDS
"It feels great to get this offer and I was very excited to get [the first] one," said Terrell. "My position trainer Glenn Ford reached out to me and my dad to tell me about the offer, and man, I was so excited it was from the Bulldogs
"I did expect to hear from a few colleges being that I played well as a freshman this year, but I was surprised by the offer.
"Early in the season I was invited to Georgia for the Notre Dame game and I really like Georgia because it’s not far from home and they have been a contender the last two to three years.
"It means a lot to get this offer and I’m very excited to be known that I’m on their radar. It motivates me to stay focused and to work harder on my craft.
"I’ve definitely learned a lot from my brother watching him go through this process. I’m excited about the possibility’s and with my brother going through it before, it’s like I have an in-house mentor."
RIVALS REACTION
This is just the beginning for Terrell. It is offer one, but he will add many more. He is an exceptional athlete that is mature beyond his years. He is open this early in the process, but he did name Clemson and Florida along with Georgia as a few schools that are on his radar early. He is going to continue to grow, develop and Terrell will be a 2023 prospect you hear a lot more about in the years to come.
