Yesterday’s rain totals and tropical mischief in the Caribbean
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Isolated showers were seen yesterday along the north shore, dropping some impressive rainfall totals.
Expect showers to be isolated in nature again today, covering a bit less ground than yesterday. Highs remain warm, in the upper 80s for most, with a few locations hitting 90 along the north shore.
Unfortunately, the tropics are worth talking about again. The NHC has highlighted an area of potential development in the northwestern Caribbean. A broad area of low pressure will likely develop over the weekend. After formation – it is highly likely that the system will move into the Gulf.
