Woman wounded, man arrested in Houma area shooting

HOUMA, La. (WGNO) — A man has been arrested in connection to a Houma area shooting that left a woman wounded Thursday, Sept. 19.
According to Houma Police Department officers, they responded to the call of a shooting in the 1200 block of Lafayette Street. Upon arrival, they found a woman on the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office investigating threats circulating school campuses
Medical assistance was rendered to the woman but her condition is not known.
With the help of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies, they searched the area for the suspect,19-year-old Joe Holley but later learned he fled the scene.
Houma police search for man accused of raping 7-year-old
Officers said Holley was found soon after and was arrested without incident.
The investigation remains ongoing.
