Woman dead after fire on Clio Avenue
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A woman who was injured in a fire on Clio Avenue early Wednesday morning died Saturday, according to fire officials.
Crews responded to 30 Clio Ave. just before 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, where a fire had broken out in the first-floor kitchen of the home.
The woman, who was identified as 34-year-old Seham Haj, was rescued from the home and transported to South Buffalo Mercy Hospital to be treated. She succumbed to her injuries on Saturday.
Damages are estimated at a total of $180,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. A city official said no malicious intent was found.
