Wisconsin DNR offering special purchasing deal to celebrate 30 years of special license plate
MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – To celebrate the 30th anniversary of a special license plate, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is offering a $25 rebate to those who make a new purchase by New Year’s Eve.
The Endangered Resources license plate has been around since 1994, and purchases of it have provided funds to the DNR’s conservation efforts of 400 wildlife and 300 plant species designated as endangered or threatened.

According to the release, the DNR works with their partners and volunteers to help find and protect native plants and animals in Wisconsin, from the most common to the most threatened.
One of the many ways these funds are utilized is through the creation and maintenance of State Natural Areas, protecting ecosystems and natural geological features. The sites are a habitat for many endangered species.
“The $25 rebate helps more people support rare species and unique places in Wisconsin while showing that support on their car or truck,” DNR Natural Heritage Conservation Director Drew Feldkirchner said.
Beautiful and warmer end to the work week tomorrow
