Wilson Burt Road bridge in Newfane to be closed until August
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Wilson Burt Road bridge over Eighteen Mile Creek in Newfane will be closed to all motorists starting next week, the Niagara County Department of Public Works announced.
The closure of the bridge, located between Lockport-Olcott Road and West Creek Road, will start on Feb. 24 and end around Aug. 1. Extensive rehabilitation work will take place.
“Niagara County DPW has done extensive bridge and culvert work in recent years to keep our infrastructure safe for the travelling public,” said Niagara County DPW Commissioner Garret Meal. “We recognize the inconvenience to motorists and appreciate the public’s patience as we complete these projects.”
