How to watch and stream the 2024 Democratic National Convention
The Democratic National Convention takes the stage in Chicago this week. The convention will take place over four days, and while you might not be able to attend in-person, there are still ways to watch the DNC across multiple networks and streaming services.
Here's what to know.
What is the Democratic National Convention?
The DNC is a weeklong event where Democratic delegates from each state will officially select the party's nominees for president and vice president.
Traditionally, delegates vote at the convention for the nominee, but the DNC organizers held a virtual vote this year to confirm Vice President Kamala Harris as the nominee ahead of the convention.
When is the DNC?
The DNC starts on Monday, Aug. 19, and will run through Aug. 22.
What time does the DNC start?
Each day of the convention includes a full schedule of events for delegates, but the main programming of the DNC takes place from 6 to 10 p.m. each night of the convention.
Where is the DNC?
The DNC will occur in Chicago. Evening events for the DNC will be at the United Center, at 1901 W. Madison St. Official daytime business, meetings and briefings will be at the McCormick Place, at 2301 S. Martin Luther King Drive.
How to watch the DNC:
Network channels will air the DNC and the convention will also be streamed on the DNC YouTube channel. Streaming of evening programming will air from the United Center from 6:30 p.m. to 11p.m. ET on Monday and from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET on Tuesday through Thursday.
The official streaming of the DNC will be available at DemConvention.com, where you can also find the convention schedule. The convention will also host vertical streams across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.

Can I go to the DNC?
Event programming isn't open to the public. Only delegates, politicians, media and volunteers and those with credentials will be granted access to the venues.
