Venture Forthe to lay off employees in Niagara Falls, Jamestown, Olean
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Home healthcare agency Venture Forthe is set to lay off over 100 employees in Niagara Falls and dozens more in Jamestown and Olean in the coming months, according to a WARN notice from the New York State Department of Labor.
The layoffs will begin March 31 and end April 13.
In Niagara Falls, 133 out of 225 employees will be affected. 26 out of 37 employees will be affected in Jamestown and 46 out of 58 employees will be affected in Olean.
Venture Forthe offers care for seniors, care for those with chronic illnesses, those with disabilities and those with mental health disorders. The agency said it advocate for its clients and their right to choose their own path in life.
The WARN notice describes the reason for the layoffs as a “contract loss.”
Less than two weeks ago, another notice announced almost half of the employees of a home health services company in Buffalo will be laid off this spring.
