Toddler found alone in Gentilly identified: NOPD

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department reported that the child has been identified by family members.
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are looking to identify a toddler who was found alone in the Gentilly area on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
The NOPD reported the child was found walking alone near the intersection of Mirabeau and Paris avenues around 2:30 p.m.

NOPD officials said officers canvassed the neighborhood but were unable to find anyone who could identify the toddler.
According to the NOPD, the child is believed to be about 2 years old and was wearing a red shirt, red shorts and red Nike shoes when found.
