Teen bicyclist dead following crash in Genesee County
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 17-year-old from Corfu is dead after he got hit by a car while riding a bike in Akron, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Officials said they responded to 7824 Tesnow Rd. to find a young man who had been struck lying in the roadway.
The teen, identified as Arthur G. Breton III, was biking northbound and a 37-year-old woman from Basom, N.Y. was driving northbound when she struck him with her vehicle, unable to see him after driving over a hill, officials said. Breton was ejected from the bike and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sheriff’s Office says drugs and alcohol were not involved. The crash remains under investigation.
