Serial shoplifter sentenced for 3 incidents at Walden Galleria
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A serial shoplifter has been sentenced in connection with three incidents at the Walden Galleria in 2023, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Friday.
Buffalo resident Gary White, 60, was sentenced to 3 1/2 to seven years in prison.
All three incidents happened at the Galleria between January and April 2023. Much of what White stole was clothing, with one of the incidents resulting in over $5,000 in product being stolen.
White pleaded guilty in January to three counts of third-degree burglary, one count of third-degree grand larceny, one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and one count of petit larceny.
As part of the sentence White signed trespass notices for each retailer, barring him from entering any of the retailers’ locations in Erie County.
