Roesch Ave. fire causes $200K in damages
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A fire on Roesch Avenue on Saturday evening caused an estimated $150,000 in building damages and an additional $50,000 in damages to the home’s contents, officials said.
Fire crews responded to the fire at 235 Roesch Ave. around 9:30 p.m. The fire started in the second-floor kitchen of the 2 1/2-story frame house, officials said, and fire crews were able to quickly contain the fire.
The American Red Cross has been requested to assist two adults and eight children who were displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
