RNC schedule for Monday: Full rundown of events and how you can watch, stream
The 2024 Republican National Convention kicked off in Milwaukee on Monday, amid an investigation into an attempted assassination of the GOP presumptive nominee, former President Donald Trump, as the incumbent Democratic President Joe Biden calls for a cooling of heated rhetoric.
The RNC was slated to officially begin at 12:35 p.m. Central, with its first convention session to run until 4:45 p.m. A second official session was to follow at 5:45 p.m. and last until 10 p.m.

A number of events outside of official convention times will also take place — with The Heritage Foundation’s Policy Fest: Fighting for America’s Future, a policy-centric event and a screening of “Reagan,” the 2024 Dennis Quaid-led biopic of the former president, among other events, is scheduled to take place throughout the day.
Trump is expected to make an appearance on Monday at the convention, despite his recent brush with death. The week-long event begins less than 48 hours after shots were fired in Trump’s direction at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, killing a rally attendee and wounding two others. The gunman, identified as Thomas Crooks, 20, was killed by Secret Service agents moments later.
