Real March madness. 10 stormy cartoons about Donald Trump's arrest claims, investigations

Donald J. Trump has given editorial cartoonists reason to imagine hush money and 'stormy' weather.

The former president urged supporters to prepare to protest his supposed pending arrest this Tuesday in connection with a Manhattan district attorney investigation.

"Protest, take our nation back," Trump wrote Saturday on Truth Social, the social media network he founded. "The far & away leading Republican candidate & former president of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week."

The Manhattan District Attorney's Office is investigating Trump for a $130,000 payment he allegedly made just before the 2016 election to silence adult film star Stormy Daniels about an earlier affair.

Trump has denied any wrongdoing. His advisors told USA Today that they had no specific knowledge of the timing of any possible indictment.

The Manhattan district attorney's investigations is one of several probes Trump faces.

They have given editorial cartoonists fuel for their pens.
