Rapids Water Park in Riviera Beach unveils largest ride in history for 2024 season
Rapids Water Park kicked off its 2024 season on March 9 and is set to welcome spring breakers from March 16 through September 2.
Nestled in the heart of Palm Beach County, Rapids Water Park spans over 35 acres with an array of more than 40 slides and attractions. From the gentle currents of the lazy river to the pulse-pounding thrills of the FlowRider surf simulator, there's an aquatic escapade awaiting every visitor.
Rapids Water Park will host an assortment of special events throughout the season. From the foam parties of Spring Break-Out Saturdays to the Birthday Bash celebrations in May, there are many activities to enjoy.
And for those seeking an evening of grown-up fun, the park will offer adults-only parties on select dates, offering an opportunity to experience the park after hours.
New Mega Mayhem water coaster ride will propel riders uphill
New this year, Mega Mayhem is set to make its splash later this spring. The new dueling water coaster will be the largest ride in Rapids history, allowing riders to race side-by-side through the 873-foot long water coaster. Riders can race at speeds of up to 22 mph and see who is winning in racing zones where they see each other through low separator wall sections of the slides.
Rapids Water Park voted one of the best water parks in the country by USA Today
In 2021, the Riviera Beach park was named one of the top 10 best outdoor water parks in the country by USA Today. Nominated to a top 20 spot by a panel of experts, votes by the public over four weeks pushed it to number seven in the "10Best Readers' Choice 2021."
The winning entry for the park listed some of its popular rides, like the Black Thunder dark vortex funnel, Brain Drain vertical plunge and the Riptide Rafin' family raft ride. That wasn't the first time Rapids made USA Today's 10Best list. In 2019, it came in eighth place.

A single day online ticket or pass starts at $59 (plus tax). And there are several options for season passes. The Gold Season Pass ($109.95, plus tax) grants visitors access to unlimited visits, complimentary parking, and discounts on dining and souvenirs.
