Rail Runner offering free rides for students
NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Students ages 17 and under will be able to ride the Rail Runner Express for free starting June 1.

The promotion will run through July 31. “We want to give our young people in central New Mexico a way to do more and save this summer,” Dewey V. Cave, executive director of Rio Metro Regional Transit District, said in a news release. “And what better way to do that than to offer them free rides on the Rail Runner.”
No passes are needed. Kids aged 17 and under can simply board the train and show a driver’s license, state ID, student ID, or tell the ticket agent their age.
