Raelynn and Waylon top 2023 baby names in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY — Raelynn and Waylon were the top names given to Monroe County babies in 2023.

Four local families named newborn girls Raelynn last year, and six families named baby boys Waylon, as reported to The Monroe News.

Princeton Christopher Rocker, son of Katelynn Bowman and Johnathan Rocker, was the first baby born in 2023 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. Princeton was born at 9:41 a.m. Jan. 1, 2023.

Raelynn was not on 2022’s baby name list. Two babies were named Waylon in 2022. 2022’s top names were Avery and Jackson.
