Police looking for suspect following shootout in Fillmore Avenue gas station
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Police are seeking help from the public to identify two men involved in a Fillmore Avenue shootout early Wednesday morning.
Around 3:30 a.m., officers arrived at the 300 block of Fillmore Avenue to discover the scene of a shooting but no victim. Security camera footage revealed a scene that appeared friendly at first with three men talking near the register. Later, the man in the hat pictured above appears to shoot at the third man (not pictured) who then appears to shoot back.
While on scene, police were notified of a 41-year-old man walking into ECMC with a gunshot wound to the chest, but no life-threatening injuries. The man matched the description of a man who was in the store at the time.
Kacene Brathwaite, 41, of Buffalo, has been charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment.
Buffalo Police are still seeking to identify the two men pictured above. Anyone with any information is asked to call or text the confidential tip-line at 716-847-2255.
