Orchard Park says man drove himself to court with a suspended driver’s license
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man allegedly drove himself to court with a suspended license and parked in front of a justice last month following previous DWI charges, according to court documents obtained by WIVB News 4.
Orchard Park Town Court said that David Braymiller had his driver’s license suspended on Jan. 2, 2025 following an alleged incident involving a luxury sedan on Jan. 1. He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated.
He was ordered to return to court on Feb. 18. Braymiller allegedly drove the same sedan to his court appearance and parked his vehicle in full view of a justice who was parking at the same time, Orchard Park Town Court said.
The man did not deny driving the vehicle and instead claimed that he had spent over $1,000 on ride sharing since his license was suspended, officials said. He allegedly described the operation of his vehicle as “necessary.” Officials said Braymiller knew about the court appearance for more than two weeks prior to Feb. 18.
He is scheduled to return to court on March 18.
