Graffiti Summer’s huge festival returns with classic cars, food, live music and more. Acclaimed singer Renée Fleming will play the Gallo Center and country music’s Brett Young will be at the Fruit Yard Amphitheatre. These are just some of the entertainment options planned June 8-14 in the Modesto region.
Graffiti fest and car show
The biggest celebration of Modesto’s Graffiti Summer returns with North Modesto Kiwanis Club’s American Graffiti Festival & Car show. The two-day event includes music, a variety of food and other vendors and hundreds of classic cars on display. The region’s Latin car clubs will be honored Sunday, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Live entertainment includes Cisco Kid, a War tribute band, Sunday from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Renée Fleming
Renée Fleming returns to the Gallo Center. Fleming has performed at the world’s greatest opera houses and concert halls, according to the theater’s website. She has five Grammys and was awarded with the U.S. National Medal of Arts.

Enjoy the “Swing, Inc.” concert with MoBand, featuring the music of Bing Crosby, Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller. Many people get their spots early by laying down blankets during the day and then enjoy picnics later at the evening concerts.

Spring Table Viewing
The Modesto Garden Club will hold its Spring Table Viewing at Del Rio Country Club. The public is invited to view 30 tables, staged by club members with a spring and summer theme June 12. A luncheon and viewing will be held June 13, but only limited seating remained available for the luncheon.
