Two gunned down in Ocean View Hills; no arrests made
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Authorities are searching for suspects after two people were gunned down in Ocean View Hills Friday.
The violence took place just after 5:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Hidden Trails Road in the Ocean Crest neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department. Officers responded to calls reporting a shooting and found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

One of the victims, a 40-year-old Hispanic man, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other victim, a 42-year-old Hispanic man, was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. Both victims have been identified but their names have not been released at this time.
Based on their initial investigation, police said a vehicle, described as a Lexus, was seen rapidly leaving the area after the shooting.
Based on their initial investigation, police said that multiple people and multiple vehicles are believed to have been in the area at the time of the shooting. Specifically, a Lexus was reportedly seen speeding away from the scene.

A short time later, Mid-City Division officers responded to a radio call of a suspicious vehicle near Upas Street and Florida Street. They located a Lexus at that location with bullet holes in it. Detectives are now investigating whether this Lexus may have been involved in the shooting.
No suspect descriptions are available at this time.
The department said detectives would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the shooting but left before officers arrived at the scene. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to call the Homicide Unit at 619-531- 2293 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
