NFTA offering free rides on Wednesday
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The NFTA is encouraging people to stay warm Wednesday by taking the bus for free.
Between 10:25 a.m. Wednesday and 12:25 a.m. Thursday, the NFTA will be offering free fares in response to the extreme cold. The deal applies to all NFTA-Metro buses, rail services and Paratransit Services.
A spokesperson for the NFTA said in a release that those who have no other options can use the buses to stay warm in an effort to help local warming shelters already at full capacity.
Regular fare pricing will resume Thursday. To view route schedules, click here.
