Power outages reported in Southeast Louisiana ahead of Hurricane Francine
JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Entergy Louisiana customers are reporting power outages on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
This comes as the weather begins to shift as Hurricane Francine makes its way to Louisiana.
Flight cancellations ahead of Hurricane Francine’s landfall
Jefferson Parish
As of 7:30 p.m., 21,744 customers in Jefferson Parish are without power.
Orleans Parish
Entergy reports that there are 23,182 customers without power as of 5 p.m.
St. John the Baptist Parish
As of 10:20 p.m., over 8,000 customers are without power in St. John the Baptist Parish.
Lafourche Parish
Entergy reports that 29,844 customers are without power in Lafourche Parish.
Terrebonne Parish
Entergy is reporting that 25,117 customers are without power in Terrebonne Parish.
Tangipahoa Parish
According to the Entergy Outage Map, 2,966 customers in Tangipahoa Parish are experiencing outages.

St. Charles Parish
The Entergy Outage Map shows there are 5,119 customers without power in St. Charles Parish.
St. Tammany Parish
According to the Cleco Outage Map, 1,996 customers are without power.
Francine is expected to bring with it heavy winds sustaining 90 mph and a storm surge. Additionally, the flood threat and tornado risk are increasing.
The storm’s center is expected to reach the Louisiana coast Wednesday afternoon or evening before turning northward. The latest forecast track from the National Hurricane Center shows a continued eastward shift, so the current forecast track has been adjusted slightly to the east, according to WGNO meteorologists.
