New Mexico awards two long-term leases for wind projects
NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Two wind projects are coming to New Mexico and are expected to generate around 550 megawatts of power combined.
Tourism to New Mexico state parks on the rise
The state announced two long-term leases for wind projects. The first lease was awarded to EDF Renewables to develop a nearly 24,000 acre project in Grant County. The second was awarded to Innegrex Renewable Energy for a 12,000 acre project in Hidalgo County. The projects are expected to bring in more than $146 million in revenue.
