New Mexicans get second chance for solar tax credits
NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – New Mexico taxpayers who missed out on solar tax credits have another chance to get in on the program. This new supplemental funding aims to help people who were denied by the New Solar Market Development Tax Credit Program between 2020 and 2023 because the program had hit its financial cap.

Taxpayers can get a credit on up to 10% of solar installation costs, up to a maximum of $6,000 a year. More information is available on the EMNRD website.
