Mark-Paul Gosselaar says he dated this 'Saved by the Bell' co-star
Mark-Paul Gosselaar is revealing an off-screen romance he had with one of his former co-stars.
During Tuesday's episode of Anna Faris' "Unqualified" podcast, the "Saved by the Bell" actor, who played teen heartthrob Zack Morris in the classic comedy, said he dated Elizabeth Berkley, who played Morris' friend, Jessie Spano.
"When you're working on a set, and we were young, there's no one around really," he said, explaining the fling. "I mean, you work and live in a bubble."
Gosselaar added he didn't have many choices when it came to dating in Los Angeles.
"You're in L.A., right? So you're in your cars and you come to set and you do your work, and you're with these beautiful women and then you go back in your car," he said. "And you're not going to school, so you don't have a lot of choices."
"People say, ‘Well didn't you go out?' Not really," he continued, adding his mom drove him to work.
Gosselaar, 44, implied the off-screen romance was short but didn't give an exact timeframe.
He and Berkley, 46, played Zack and Jessie in the hit sitcom and a reprise edition from 1989 to 1994.
