Man sentenced for assaulting probation officer
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was sentenced to a maximum of one year in jail for assaulting his probation officer in February 2023, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Tuesday.
Justin Davis, 24, fought with probation officers in a hallway at the Erie County Probation Department Office on Niagara Plaza on Feb. 16, 2023. He continued to fight with officers as he was escorted out of the building onto Pearl Street. A warrant had been issued for his arrest on a probation violation.
One probation officer was hurt during the fight, which was captured on surveillance cameras.
Davis was convicted of third-degree assault in October.
