Man accused of crashing into light pole, fire hydrant, another vehicle
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was arrested on Friday night after allegedly crashing his vehicle into a light pole, a fire hydrant, and another vehicle near the intersection of Hertel Avenue and Elmwood Avenue.
According to the Buffalo Police Department, officers witnessed a vehicle traveling east on Hertel Avenue at a high rate of speed. As police officers attempted to follow the vehicle, it crashed at the intersection, Buffalo police said.
After allegedly failing sobriety tests, Seh Htoo, 18, of Buffalo was placed into custody. He was arrested and charged with the following:
Driving while intoxicated
Reckless driving
Operation of a motor vehicle by an unlicensed driver
Speed not reasonable and prudent
Failure to obey traffic device
Avoiding traffic device or intersection/light
A 15-year-old passenger was allegedly in the vehicle at the time of the collision as well.
