'He knows his generation': Melania Trump praises Barron's role in 2024 White House race

WASHINGTON - Former and future first lady Melania Trump on Friday commended her son Barron Trump for his advisory role in this year's presidential election.
Barron Trump, 18, has been credited with helping his father, President-elect Donald Trump, reach a younger online audience of voters, particularly young men. Trump's youngest son reportedly advised his dad to make appearances with popular streamers and podcasters, including Joe Rogan.
"He is a grown young man," Melania Trump said of her son in an interview with Fox News on Friday morning. "I'm very proud of him, about his knowledge, even about politics and giving advice to his father."
"He knows his generation," she said, adding that her son was "very vocal" behind the scenes of the campaign.
Barron Trump is the only child of Melania and Donald Trump. He is currently a freshman at New York University's Stern School of Business.
He has also become a subject of internet fascination, with clips of a 4-year-old Barron Trump telling Larry King, "I like my suitcase," going recently viral. In the video, Barron Trump speaks with a Slovenian accent emulating his mother.
"I don't think it's possible for him to be a normal student," Melania told Fox News. "His experience at college, it's very different than any other kid. And I'm very proud how he's handling, he's very strong."
