Kerry Katona attempts to make peace after offensive Brian McFadden comments
The Atomic Kitten star wants to clear the air with her ex-husband and father to her two eldest daughters.
Kerry Katona has said she wants to clear the air after calling her ex-husband Brian McFadden a "s*** dad".
The former Atomic Kitten singer was married to the Westlife star between 2002 and 2004 and they are parents to Molly, 21, and Lilly-Sue, 20.
Katona wrote in her OK! magazine column: "I really want to clear things up after recent headlines about me calling my ex Brian McFadden a 's*** dad' in a podcast.

"I was with him a million years ago and wish nothing but the best for him and his family. I wasn’t saying it in a bad way or to be vindictive.
"While he wasn’t a good father to Molly and Lilly, he’s now grown up and is an amazing dad to his daughter Ruby.

"I don’t want to cause awkwardness between my girls and their dad and wish him the best.
"I’m true to myself and my story, and he’s part of that. I don’t want to be nasty. I’m on a different journey now."
The 42-year-old reality star recently told Ellie McKay's On A Mission Podcast: "I didn't get maintenance money off Brian.
"I signed a piece of paper saying, 'you can keep your money, give me me kids'.
"I said look if you don't want me, you don't love me, I don't want your money, just give me half the money from the house that we sell, and I will sign a piece of paper, just give me my kids. I signed the piece of paper, I got the kids, and he f***ed off to Australia."
She added: "He was a s*** dad, he was a s*** dad.
"I think that really bothers the two girls especially now because he is a great dad with Ruby."
McFadden, 43, now has two-year-old daughter Ruby with PE teacher fiancee Danielle Parkinson who he has been dating since 2016.
He was also married to Irish model Vogue Williams for three years before they separated in 2015.
Katona went on to marry taxi driver Mark Croft in 2007, with whom she had daughter Heidi, 16, and son Max, 15.
