Keep Algiers Beautiful to host clean-up event
ALGIERS, La. (WGNO) — In partnership with Keep Louisiana Beautiful, Keep Algiers Beautiful is hosting a community clean-up on Sunday, June 30.
The event is a part of the Algiers Neighborhood Presidents Council’s “Don’t Trash Algiers” campaign.
Cool off at these Greater New Orleans pools, splash pads, spray parks
According to event organizers, community members and the ANPC will collect trash in neighborhoods, as well as major corridors such as General de Gaulle Drive, General Meyer Avenue and Newton Street.
The event starts at 4 p.m. and anyone who wants to participate is asked to meet at the corner of Holiday Drive and General de Gaulle Boulevard, next to the Walgreen’s parking lot.
