BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said it recently arrested three people in Western New York as part of a nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration.
The White House said on social media that ICE arrested Luis Alberto Espinoza-Boconsaca, who had been convicted of rape, as well as Cristofer Alexander Ramirez-Olivia, who was convicted of third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Interim U.S. Customs and Border Chief Patrol Agent Juan Bernal posted that Jonathan Rios Torres, who was previously arrested for false imprisonment in Georgia, was also arrested.

The crackdown was a major point of President Donald Trump’s campaign. The White House said that nearly 540 arrests were made late last week.
