Huntsville Utilities warns customers of solar panel scam calls
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Huntsville Utilities has learned of a new scam tactic targeting customers.
Huntsville Utilities says the scammer claims to be part of the company and is offering to install solar panels to reduce power bills to $35. The scammer then begins to ask for personal financial and home ownership information.

Huntsville Utilities advises customers to hang up immediately. The calls have been coming from a Pennsylvania area code, (570), but they may attempt to spoof other numbers.
The company urges you to contact your bank and local law enforcement immediately if you believe you have been scammed.
