These are historically the hottest days in Denver
DENVER (KDVR) — The Mile High City hit its warmest temperature in over a year, but on average, the hottest days in Denver are still ahead.
Denver hit 100 degrees for the first time in almost 700 days on Tuesday, and Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Travis Michels believes there are more 100-degree days to come. While it feels like it couldn’t get any hotter, it’s only June.
Denver just hit 100 degrees after a nearly 700-day streak
Based on National Weather Service records, Michels estimates that the average hottest days of the year take place between July 17 and July 22. On those days, the average temperature reaches a high of 90-91 degrees and a low of 61 degrees for an average of 76 degrees throughout the day.
That said, the average hottest day isn’t always the hottest day every year.
For example, in July 2023, the hottest day of the month was July 25, when it reached 98 degrees and only got as low as 65 degrees – and it was even hotter in August.

The hottest day in 2023 hit 99 degrees and only dipped as low as 72 degrees on Aug. 21.
As for this year, Michels believes there’s at least another 100-degree day in the mix. The temperatures could reach their hottest near the middle of July, but it won’t “cool down” much after.
Michels predicts Denver will still see tons of days in the 90s for the next two months.
