Hamburg man found guilty of child sexual abuse

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Hamburg man has been found guilty by a jury of charges related to child sexual abuse, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.
A jury found that Tyler Wilkinson, 28, engaged in inappropriate conduct with a child who was less than 17 years old in Hamburg between June 2017 and April 2022.
In addition, a jury found that he subjected another child victim less than 13 years old to sexual contact in June and July 2021, also in Hamburg.
Both child victims were known to Wilkinson.
He was found guilty of one count of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Wilkinson faces a maximum of seven years in prison when he is sentenced on March 17. He was held without bail and temporary orders of protection have been issued on behalf of the victims.
