Gowanda man arrested following crash of stolen vehicle
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man was arrested and charged after a vehicle was reported stolen out of a Gowanda pizza restaurant and later found crashed, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials responded to reports of a stolen vehicle at Capozzi’s Pizzeria on Sunday. Further reports and an investigation determined that Bransin John, 25, allegedly stole the vehicle and crashed it in Dayton.
John was taken into custody and was found to have a BAC of .23 percent. The legal limit for driving is .08 percent.
He was charged with grand larceny, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, criminal mischief, aggravated DWI and additional traffic violations.
John was released on appearance tickets. Further court appearances have yet to be scheduled.
