George Ezra cancels concert with just 90 minutes notice due to vertigo
The announcement was made on the singer's Twitter account at 4.43pm that he was not well enough to perform.
George Ezra has apologised to his fans after he cancelled a concert less than two hours before the show began due to "acute vertigo".
The 29-year-old Shotgun singer had been due to perform at London's O2 on Tuesday 14 March with tickets still on sale on the day and the start time advertised as 6.30pm.
Ezra's account tweeted at 4.43pm: "Hi everyone, unfortunately George has started feeling incredibly unwell this afternoon. He’s been diagnosed by a doctor as having acute vertigo and as a result we sincerely regret to announce that tonight’s show at the O2 in London will not be able to go ahead as planned.

"We wanted to let you know as soon as possible. Ticket holders, all tickets remain valid and please bear with us as we reschedule the show – we’re very sorry for everyone who has travelled for tonight."

Acute vertigo is a feeling that you or everything around you is spinning and can affect you balance. Medical advice is to lie in a darkened room and try to relax, and use a walking stick if required. Anxiety increases vertigo.
Ezra performed at the London venue the previous evening.
The Paradise singer is due to play a sold out gig in Leeds on Thursday, 16 March, that is still scheduled to go ahead.
Some fans on social media were less than sympathetic.
One tweeted: "Sorry, but i've got got nieces travelled to London from Cornwall on the train, money wasted, booked a hotel at London rates, money wasted and it gets cancelled at 90 minutes notice ????? Very very poor, they wont buy to see GE again."
Another said: "What happened to The show must go on ? Dose up, get out there, Adrenaline will get you through, I have and know others with blinding migraines etc, that carried on whatever, No business like show business !"
And one wrote: "I don't believe you for a minute if you performed last night and felt fine. I'm never coming to see you again. That's for sure having spent all after on the motorway."
But others sent Ezra their best wishes – including eight-year-old Maisie, who made him a Get Well card.

Another tweeted: "We were very sad to miss you - but these things happen. Get yourself well, hope everything is ok. See you soon!"

And another said: "Wishing you health and a speedy recovery! Sounds nasty. A super disappointment as it was to be my disabled nephews first gig and he’d travelled up from Torquay to see you tonight for his Xmas pressie. I’m sure the show when it happens will be a belter. Get well soon."
