First trailer for Stranger Things star Sadie Sink's new thriller
The first trailer for new thriller A Sacrifice, starring Stranger Things star Sadie Sink, has been released.
Inspired by Nicholas Hogg's novel Tokyo Nobody, the film centres around Ben Monroe (Eric Bana), an American social psychologist who is investigating a local Berlin cult connected to disturbing events (via Deadline).
The film, which is being released by Vertical Entertainment, is set to premiere in the US on June 28. A UK release date has yet to be announced.

"While [Ben] immerses himself in his work, his rebellious teenage daughter, Mazzy (Sink), becomes embroiled with a mysterious local boy who introduces her to the city's underground party scene," reads the official synopsis for the film.
"As their two worlds head toward a dangerous intersection, Ben will need to race against the clock in order to save his daughter."
The spine-tingling trailer sees Bana's character begin his investigation into a mysterious cult, after coming across a suspicious group of dead bodies.

"I'm trying to break out of the theoretical side of life," he reveals as he learns more about the unexplained deaths.
Meanwhile, Sink's character Mazzy becomes friends with a stranger she meets on a train — who introduces her to his "group" and their enigmatic leader (played by Sophie Rois).
"You entangle yourself with your parents. The sooner you stop relying on them, the more powerful you will be. Purify and start again," Rois's character tells Mazzy as she ventures down a dark path.

A Sacrifice is written and directed by Jordan Scott, the daughter of award-winning filmmaker Ridley Scott.
As well as Sink, Bana and Rois, the psychological thriller also stars Blade Runner's Sylvia Hoeks, Jonas Dassler, Stephen Kampwirth and Lara Feith.
Ahead of its release, Vertical partner Peter Jarowey branded A Sacrifice a "riveting, emotionally charged film". He also praised Bana and Sink for creating "a dynamic and tense father-daughter relationship that will captivate audiences from beginning to end."
Scott added: "I couldn't be more excited for audiences to see the film in theatres and beyond."
A Sacrifice will premiere in the US on June 28. A UK release date has yet to be announced.
